Employee Programs
SCB launched internal communication programs to support young employees and foster team spirit — including football matches during Ramadan and the "Support Egypt" initiative during the African Nations Cup. Health and safety programs raised employee awareness on nutrition, diabetes, and breast cancer screening in partnership with the Egyptian Foundation for Breast Cancer.
Social Solidarity
The bank joined the Federation of Egyptian Banks initiative to develop informal settlements and installed water pumps for 330+ beneficiaries in Beni Suef. It donated EGP 10 million to the COVID-19 emergency account, distributed 4,500 food packages through Orman Association in the neediest villages, and supported 7,500 daily workers affected by COVID-19 in cooperation with the Egyptian Food Bank.
Special Needs
In partnership with Giza Governorate, SCB provided wheelchairs for people with disabilities. The bank co-founded the Ataa Fund — Egypt's first fund for special needs under Financial Regulatory Authority supervision — and organised a handicraft exhibition titled "Your Profession is Your Fortune" to economically empower people with disabilities.
Health
Through its Dokki Islamic Branch, SCB supports 30+ hospitals and 80+ NGOs to help individuals and families with low income cover treatment costs. The bank has also contributed to congenital heart defect care at Al Nas Hospital, supported railway station incident victims, and donated to the National Cancer Institution's reconstruction after the devastating fire.
Education
SCB co-developed two schools in Ismailia Governorate (buildings, playgrounds, and computer labs) and signed a cooperation agreement with Zewail City for Science and Technology, funding 13 scholarships for final-year students in 2019 and 2020.
Environment
SCB contributed to the development of Khedive Cairo as part of Cairo Governorate's urban renewal initiative in Downtown Cairo, as well as the redevelopment of the stock exchange area — reinforcing the bank's commitment to a sustainable and liveable urban environment.
Youth & Entrepreneurship
SCB participated in the "Nile Preneurs" initiative funded by the Central Bank of Egypt, embracing startups in ICT to spread gamification concepts with Nile University. The bank also established Business Development Service (BDS) centres inside branches to provide non-financial services and connect with youth entrepreneurs, sponsoring creative ideas and raising awareness of banking services.
